Our story
Stronger communities begin when people choose to support one another.

Together for Better Communities is being developed from a simple conviction: people flourish when they are known, supported, and given practical means to move forward. The proposed organisation aims to serve people according to need and for the public benefit.

We are currently developing the organisation's governance, policies, and initial plans. TOFBEC has not yet commenced charitable operations.

We intend to apply for registration as a Foundation Charitable Incorporated Organisation. This website will be updated when the constitution has been finalised and formally adopted and an application has been submitted.

What we intend to support

TOFBEC's charitable purposes are being developed as part of its proposed Foundation CIO constitution. Final purposes will be published only after the constitution has been completed and formally adopted.

Governance

How governance is being developed

The proposed organisation is being developed by five prospective founding trustees. They are preparing the constitution, policies, and registration application; they are not yet trustees of an existing CIO.

Five prospective founding trustees are developing TOFBEC's governance arrangements and proposed application. Legal responsibility as CIO trustees would begin only if and when the organisation is registered.

Policies and controls

Appropriate financial controls, safeguarding arrangements, and operating policies are being prepared before charitable activities begin.

03 — Future participation

Volunteers and partners

Volunteer and partnership opportunities will be published after governance, safeguarding, and operational arrangements are ready.
